Jeremy's journal

Somehow, Cleveland has survived, with her gray banner unfurled -- the banner of Archangelsk and Detroit, of Kharkov and Liverpool -- the banner of men and women who would settle the most ignominious parts of the earth, and there, with the hubris born neither of faith nor ideology but biology and longing, bring into the world their whimpering replacements.

Trying to do something with the violin by itself -- no voice, no guitar. Here's what I came up with:

It almost works, I think -- there are places where it is a little hard to follow the melody without lyrics but they are short in duration, the song comes back quickly.

I played this on my laptop and my cat jumped up on my lap. I think it liked it. It also likes The Cure if that gives you any idea of its taste in music.

Thanks, Barbara's cat! Glad you liked it. The Cure performing Swing Low, Sweet Chariot is (at least) an interesting idea.
